New Klarity ™ cone material, composed of a mix of polypropylene and mica adds firmness to reduce FL Exing, so that a lightweight cone is possible with a high stiffness, low coloring and lightning fast response.
Low color and expression
The Klarity ™Conus is equipped with a low-damping edge, so that both low staining and an expressive dynamic is achieved. By simulating many different cone forms and add ribs for further reinforcement, a flat response curve was achieved without resorting to a strongly damping surround, so that the ideal balance was found.
A magnet from forces
An accurately manufactured magnet system with an aluminum compensation ring to minimize the effect of variations in induction during the course of the speaking coil. This contributes to the absence of distortion and intermodulation generated by the 'motor system'.
A speaking reel outside this class
The speaking coil is wrapped on a powerful coil of epoxy / fiberglass, which is very unusual in speakers of this price level. This has the advantage that it does not add swirl streams and produces greater load capacity than an aluminum coil, while it is also much stronger than the Kapton type that belongs to this price range.
The dome of 25 mm is made from a woven polyester foil with a high-loss coating to deliver open and even extended high frequencies. The magnet system and the front plate are optimized for wide spread and uncompressed behavior. The front plate is flat and allows the dome exposed as much as possible; only a very short tube on the front plate compensates for the acoustic load and improves the SPL (sound pressure level) measurement.
A cross-over style
The crossover network uses an acoustic topology LKR 24dB. This includes luchtkerninductoren of the type more common in high-end speakers, selected because they produce the lowest distortion of any inductortypes. Because the resistance of the coil is higher than a standard laminated steel or ferrietkerninductor, is the magnetic structure of the mid / bass driver modified in order to compensate, resulting in a quick, clean bass without distortion through the inductor.
Firmly and fairly
The housing of the Diamond 12.1s at the back is exactly dimensioned that the internal volume in harmony works with the drive system to deliver the desired sonic result. A multi-layer sandwich construction ensures that the 'sound' of the cupboard is muted in no time. Even the resonant properties of the glue between the layers is measured to determine the optimum combination.
Inside the cabinet, Intelligent Spot Bracing connects opposite walls with a special shape of the wooden bracket to achieve optimum reduction of the cabinet resonance. These brackets are precisely modeled by means of computers simulation to improve the usual 'fihip of eight bracket, which can transfer the resonance from one wall to another.
